Tom Jones postponed his concert at the Greek Theatre Monday due to a case of the flu.
The 86-year-old singer made the announcement on Instagram, saying doctors advised him to cancel the LA show and a Tuesday appearance in San Diego. The Greek Theatre show, originally scheduled for Monday night, has been rescheduled for Nov. 4. The San Diego concert will take place Nov. 3 at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
“I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu,” Jones wrote. “I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon.”
Tickets for the original shows will be honored on the rescheduled dates. Fans who cannot attend may contact their original point of purchase for a refund, according to the Instagram post.
Jones is on his “Come Gather Round Tour,” which had been scheduled to end Nov. 1 in San Francisco. The rescheduled Los Angeles concert will now be the final date.
